Times change I guess, but all for the better. I'm now more likely to sit comfortably in an arm chair and savor all of the subtle and not so subtle differences of an album, all while enjoying my almond milk chocolate banana smoothy. Today I'm less likely to go on bus rides and listen to the same albums for hours on my CD player. Where has this app been all my teenage years? I would have found it sooo useful!. Album mode - preserves album wide differences in levels. As I've said, reversion is completely possible (as long as you remember the original levels) and there is also an Undo command which re-samples everything back to the original state. Changes are applied instantly to the originals. What I don't particularly like about the way MP3Gain handles things is that you don't get the option of saving your modified tracks as new files. That means that louder tracks will still remain louder than the rest of the album for example. In this way, changes in sound level will affect each track relative to each other. ![]() The procedure can be applied individually, but it can also be set to work in "album mode". This means that files can be altered any number of times and then reverted back to their original settings without suffering any change in quality. By doing this it accomplishes the change without any loss in information. MP3Gain can modify a track's sound level by adjusting the values of "frames" found in mp3 files. But hey, no goy is perfect, and he's probably not calling her a shiksa by her back. It was probably because of his strong connections in the (((industry))). ![]() To Joanna's credit though, she's the most lovely and most talented musical artist of the current decade. Her earlier songs sound so uneven that even my dead grandpa' could notice and report on the volume swings. ![]() The best material to test MP3Gain on are Joanna Newsom's albums! That is if MP3Gain is to work as intended. Looking around my hard drive, it suddenly dawned on me. With MP3Gain we can now adjust sound levels to a a more even, but not album-wrecking experience. We've all been annoyed by loud tracks in some albums, or by loud segments in some tracks.
